AN URGENT CALL

Scripture testifies about Jesus Christ as follows: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, "is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Cor 5:17-21) We must regard the Lord's patience as an opportunity to be saved (2 Pet 3:15), for He is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Pet 3:9)

Jesus Himself said: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
